simplement Gruyères, a photo from Fribourg, West

Photographer's Note

It was difficult to find the right moment for shooting a photo which would not include crowds of tourists walking around, but I was lucky enough :)
Not much to say except plain truth: it was an unexpected shot!

What else can I say about Gruyères in the note?

Gruyères is the place where you can feel at the same time as if in the middle of nowhere and as if in a totally different world.
What adds a lot to this impression is bright sunshine, of course: it enhances all the colours and tints which surround you.

Hello Elena,

This is a very picturesque place with beautiful old houses, great stone pavement and lovely bright red flowers all over. The three cyclers are a nice add on to enliven the scenery. Amazing light touches the surfaces of the houses with an artful manner and creates appealing shades. Viewing the scene with your always informative and humorous notes is an absolute pleasure. Hi Elena, On my computer it looks just lovely - sharp lovely colours. nice action shots with the cyclists.. Your low POV brings in the paving and good FG. your words add depth to the image.. a nice unexpected shot. keep warm Rich

In my screen it looks great and with bright colors, the geranium are quite red, be sure

As Rich said the low POV is good to show the stones of the street

Äîáðîå óòðèùùå, Åëåíà,

Íó à ìîæåò è íå íàäî èçáåãàòü òîëïû, ïóñòü áðîäþòü, êàê êîçû. Æèâîïèñíîñòü íå ñòðàäàåò. Äà, íàäî åõàòü ëåòîì â ýòó ñòðàíó. Öâåòîâ ( è â ñìûñëå êðàñîê, òîæå) áîëüøå.

what a wonderful composition of beautiful architecture and gorgeous place. Great colors, sharpness, clarity, wonderful POV and DOF too. Awesome place to walk around and nice to see turists. It is a really lovely place. Perfectly well done. I love it. Excellent job.

Hi Elena, On my PC it looks great, bright and cheerful. Is Gruyères known for the cheese? i like the presence of the bikers here, so it is not so bad itf there are some people in the composition. Nice place with cobblestone road, old houses with the impressive strong roofs, but the bright red geraniums make the show here. Lovely shot.
