Fribourg Valley Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is one of few photos I took during my 10 minutes stay/stop in Fribourg. I was amazed by this city as well as its surroundings, but had no chance to take a walk there. Hopefully I get there soon.

Fribourg (founded in 1157; population of app 35000) is capital of canton Fribourg. In the valley runs river of Sarine/Saane. The city belongs to the French part of Switzerland, but since it lies very close to the German part, about 1/5 of inhabitants are German-speaking.

Hello Adrian,

Very good PoV, the colors are nice and the framing is very good. There is a lot to see in this seemingly simple composition. I did a workshop to adjust the sharpness a bit.

This is a beautiful view of Fribourg. The haze gives the shot a dreamy look. Your composition is great using the line of buildings to lead the eye through the shot giving the photo a nice sense of direction. The lighting and colors are great with good sharpness and detail.

Very nice view of Fribourg, the soft light is beautiful. Good composition, well done!
You must definitely visit Fribourg again and take more time to look around!
