Photographer’s Note

The Dent de Broc, if it does not pay a mine on the maps with its 1829m, is however one of the most known tops of the area, because it dominates all the plain of Gruyère, and it is the first rock that you see.

It is deserved, because require whatever the side by which you approaches it a rise of almost 1000m of altitude, except for those which drive by car a road of mountain pasture normally prohibited. What I did not do.
The access is possible there by 3 paths. Two more current climb in two broad combes, separated by a collar, and delimited by the cliffs which consituent the flanks of the Dent de Broc and the Dent du Chamois. The third directly climbs the northern face of the tooth since the village of Broc, by meeting the top of the combe more in the west.

The village of Broc is located on the right side of hte picture, on the other face. Here you can see the Moléson (2002m) the most known mountains of the canton of Fribourg. I was on the top to take a panorama of 360° that I have published in February 2005. You can clearly see the Dent de Broc on it.
