Mürren-Sonnenberg-Suppenalp-Shiltalp-Spielbodenalp-Gimmelwald Trail:

Photo was taken from a walk that started in the village of Mürren, which can be reached by post bus from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg, and then by cable car up to Mürren. This walk explores the area to the south and southwest of Mürren. It uses well maintained and signed paths throughout. The views are excellent not only to the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau but also the string of peaks that head west from the latter summit with the Breithorn of particular note. The earlier stages of the route follow the "Northface Trail" with information boards placed at regular intervals describing the routes of ascent for the major peaks in view. There are four mountain huts/farm houses to stop for refreshments between Mürren & Gimmelwald. Due to lack of time I ended my walk in Gimmelwald where I took the cable car down to Stechelberg, post bus to Lauterbrunnen for train connection back to my base in Grindelwald. I think it is better to stay in the mountain village of Mürren or Gimmelwald to better explore this section of the Jungfrau.

For more photos from this walk see Mürren to Gimmelwald walking theme ... sorted in the order they were taken. The idea is to give you a general view of what you may expect to see if you were to take this route. More photos will be added.

Hi Latiff,
Very good capture, really gives me a great sense of the area. You went to a lot of effort to get this shot and it shows. I love the contrasting colours, the green/brown grass the mauve hill to the right and the background. The cows really help the shot, superb composition and POV.
Cheers
Peter

Hello Latiff,
nice shot of this narrow and earthy road on this altitude, with the two caws, to play the role of the milestones of it.The slope of the Mt. in the background make the composition to have more dynamism.I like the colors and the light.Well done.

Have a nice day,Danos

Witaj Latiff!
Very interesting composition. Good frame and nice colors. Very impressive picture.

Hello Latiff!
I love the Mountainn and the grandiose feeling it gives, although I haven't had much opportunity to go to these regions.
I like the feeling of your photo with the grandiose slope in the background, and the more picturesque and colourful foreground, with the little winding path and the two cows that give an impression of calm.
Great composition!
MarieLouise.

Hi Latiff,
I like your composition. It's a very classic type shot from the Swiss mountains. The image has a "3D" like quality. The foreground seems to stand out very well from the mountains and the cows seem to be enjoying the grasse. Supurb colors throughout the scene with excellent sharpness.
Regards, Mike

Hi Latiff!
It's really good with the two cows on both sides of the little road. They seem to have been taken from a Milka advertisement. I like the mountain slope in background. Verywell framed, wiith a good DOF.

Ola Latiff,
Que linda paisagem com estas duas vacas a pastar , gostei muito de ver a estrada a cortar o primeiro plano a paisagem de fundo e magnifica , boa profundidade de foto , parabéns!!!
Um abraço Gonçalo

Hello Latiff!
Another painting-like picture of yours and this one is so beautiful... so bucholical, as Switzerland is, specially in non-winter seasons!
The composition with the cows and the zoom worked perfectly in this image!
TFS - Congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan

Hi Latiff. Interesting effect from the CPL on this image with the backdrop looking very contrasting with the foreground color. The two friends on each side of the path sit right on the sweet spot. Without them the image would be rather plain. I like the well written note and you are lucky to be able to explore Switzerland in this manner. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni
