Picture taken along the trail from Schynige Platte in the direction of Faulhorn, Backalpssee, and First. The view along this trail is one of the finest in all the Alps, with the ice-crested wall of the Bernese Alps spread out for your enjoyment. From left to right your eyes could feast upon a grand collection of mountains such as the Wellhorn, Wetterhorn, Bärglistock, Schreckhorn, Lauteraar-horn, Finsteraarhorn, Fiescherhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, Ebnefluh, Mittaghorn, Grosshorn, Breithorn, Tschingelhorn, Gspaltenhorn, Blüem-lisalp and Doldenhorn ... except for the iconic threesome it's hard to know which is which. Glaciers and snowfields glisten among the peaks. The "horn" here is Loucherhorn looking south. Practically every step of the way you will see a constantly evolving panorama of bewitching mountain splendor, exquisite mountain lakes, waterfalls, meandering river, meadows, and even marmots running about on the grass. The hike from Schynige Platte to Grindelwald took me about ten hours I think. It could be done in eight hour but I took my time to absorb the view.

Hello Latiff,

That walk over that path must be great for photography!
Just the description of exquisite mountain lakes, waterfalls, meandering rivers.... Wow, nice. Ten hours of a walk. Jeez, that is a long long walk. Congratulations! ;-)

Greetings!
Dennis

Really very tempting place for trekking and such a trail up the mountain without hindrance of visual perspective of the surrounding. 10 hours was a long trekk and you really had a good fitness.

Hi Latiff,
great view of this mountain, Switzerland really has a great landscape, I love that country! The depth of field is very nice, the small paths leads the eye up the mountain and the polarized sky looks wonderful. A nice one, I really like it!

Take care

Hello latiff,
nice composition with the narrow earthy alley to lead trekkers on the top of the Mt.I like the contrasted colors as the vivid light that is spread in the scene.Well done.

Hello Latiff,

You must still have many spectacular shots like this one, on the que for posting. I like your composition with the trail starting from the bottom left and seems to lead up to the summit.
