A bird's view, a photo from Bern, West

Photographer's Note

This is another photo taken inflight while paragliding. Since i've already posted some of those pictures before, i'll skip the takeoff part, the landing and the altitude stats, i'll focus on this valley only.

Well, as you can see, there's a river below that is coursing throughtout the valley to a lake further in front, what was amazing about it, was the trees that are lining her all the way up, turning every time she does. Every time i think of my flight, i'm telling myself how lucky birds must be to enjoy it everyday.

Random travel fact: It was a hot summer day and we were warned that even if the temperature seems softer in altitude, the chance of sunburn remains higher.

A magnificent view with beautiful green tones. What I would like is to have a smaller part of the scene zoomed in. Now it's so many things and shapes I loose my interest after a while, but I still see many nice motives inside the motive...
One example is the center bottom of the picture where you have from the river and to the right until you reach the road. There you have a lonely house and incredible greens...
I don't know if this is difficult or not, but it's one suggestion to improve an allready nice picture :)

This picture reminds me so well Switzerland. It is amazing how well they organize their environment, even in the far country. Beautiful composition and colors. I like a lot the river.

My grandfather used to glide over Switzerland before he died. This picture reminded me of him so much....supposedly he was in a gliding society that had contests to see who could stay up the longest, riding the current....since he stayed up the longest on record, they named a mountain after him, CHarlie's Mountain. Thanks for posting a memory.
