Photographer’s Note

Another scene from the Swiss mountains featuring some nice alpine chalets in their majestuous natural settings dominated by the two background rising peaks Glogghüs (2534m) and Rothorn (2525m). Despite being on the edge of a ski area, those chalets above Mägisalp get pretty well isolated at night, which does not mean the area is not populated, it's not so obvious at this size but a number of the traces you can see are not human.

superbe vue, j'aime la composition avec ces chalets ainsi que ton POV. Ciel bleu et manteau blanc, c'est superbe la montagne. Quand je pense que dans l'ouest, on a le mont des avaloirs a 417m, vous ne seriez pas un peu égoistes....

aux dernière nouvelles Berat ne te connais pas mais il a déjà compris que tu étais un amateur de vinchôôôô ! ;-)
Il va bien ce pentax pour les photos de montagnes enneigées.
Belle compo bien équilibrée avec cette lignée de chalet, exposition excellente.
T'avais oublié ta petite laine que t'es tombé malade par la suite ? ;-)

Je trouvais la version normale déjà impressionante, mais la version panoramique est vraiment superbe. Qualité, pdv, tout est comme cela doit être. Très belle prise.

An expertly stitched pano of a beautiful scene. I love the texture of the snow that you convey in this picture, it reminds me of the icing on a cake. It's amazing how many different shades of white there are in the foreground - the view has great textures to it.

I get a funny feeling of this one. Like all those mountain tops, huts and ski tracks were randomly dropped to their places. Superb handling of exposure on that bright snow.

Hello JY - the lonely chalets and the majestic mountains are atrractive enough, but what really amazes me is the amount of detail seen on the snow, the intense reflective light was perfectly managed.

Beautiful mountain landscape. While we have mountains in Canada, it is pretty rare to see nice chalets this close to them. It would be so nice to stay in one of them, having fun in the snow all day and then have a cozy bed close by. Excellent shot and maybe useful for future plans too!

Hi Jean-Yves. What a stunning shot. This is one of the more impressive panoramic shots I've seen on TE in a while. The only suggestion I have to make this perfect would be to magic select just the sky in PS then remove noise to get rid of the funkies. We can't see them until we look at the high-res version. The CS2 has an even more powerful noise removal tools. Wonderful shot JY!!

Très sympa ces chalets perdus dans la neige. On pourrait en louer un pour y faire un week-end TE. Et le lendemain demande à Alain et Seb de nous emmener voir le lever du soleil depuis le sommet au fond! ;-)
Une compo bien équilibrée avec cette lignes de chalets qui traverse l'image et une balance des blancs parfaite!

La première fois que je l'ai vu je pensé, encore la neige et il y avait pleine dehors. Mais depuis que la pluie la fait partir et que le ciel est très gris, cela me donne plus envie. Comme c'est beau la Suisse avec la neige comme une meringue, le ciel si bleu (j'aime beaucoup le petit trait de nuage qui le traverse). Les contrastes des maisons contre la neige sont superbes. Sympa les minuscules personnes.
En espérant qu'il fasse aussi beaucoup pour les ballons...

Roooh, un bon Mont D'Or apres une bonne journee de ski, sur cette belle sation. Une bien belle phot, aucun defaut flagrant, la pano est bien contruite, excelelnt expo...bref, que du bon, il manque peut etre quelques skieurs sur la droite ;o)

Bonjour, Jean Yves. C'est impressionnant de netteté et de blancheur. Ces chalets, que je préfère nettement au restaurant d'altitude de la semaine passée, sont joliment alignés dans ta photo et viennent briser la monotonie des tons blancs. Techniquement, l'assemblage me semble parfait.
