Lake Oeschinen, a photo from Bern, West

As announced, we where on an other weekend hike in the bernaise alps for the weekend.
Pictured here is lake Oeschinen, high over the village of Kandersteg. The lake formed by a landslide of the surrounding mountains, is at an attitude of around 1700m above sea level. One can walk up from Kandersteg in about 1 1/2 hours or alternativly take a cable car and walk for 20min to the lake. From here starts some treks up to the high alps and som glaciers and some alpine huts to spend the night.

Beautiful colours and the end of summer atmopshere make me want to be there!
You excluded the sky (which I guess might not have been that interesting) and concentrated on the cool waters of the lake thus creating an appealing intimate landscape.

The tranquality makes everything sparkle of course the turquoise water is so gorgeous. Extremely refreshing look and awesome with immense depth and rich in colors. A nice place to kill the day surely, excellent display of backdrop and the slight haze. Fine capture, TFS.

Hello Daniel,

This is what I imagine Switzerland to look like, with the alps and beautiful lakes and nature. I really like the color of the water, and the trees that are in the foreground. This looks like such a wonderful place to relax.

HI Daniel ,my today´s neighbour!
Eine wunderschöne alpine Szene mit dem Wasserfall im Hintergrund und der Tanne in Vordergrund.
Die Farbe des Wassers ist toll,sieht aber recht kalt aus.

A beautiful natural place Daniel,
I like the turquoise color of the lake's water due to minerals found in that area, copper among others.
Good sharpness, nice colors and light
