The Schreckhorn as seen from the north during a hike from Lake Bachalpsee to Bort. At 4,078m, the Schrekhorn is a mountain in the Bernese Alps, about 10 km south-east of Grindelwald between the Upper and Lower Grindelwald Glacier. The region is made up of uninhabited glacial valleys, the great Aar Glaciers and the Fiescher Glacier. The highest peak of the Bernese Alps, the Finsteraarhorn lies 10 km to the south.

Hello May Jayne,
Stunning scenery and view of The Schreckhorn. You've captured it perfectly; the colors, sharpness and framing. Excellent photo, thank you for sharing.

Excellent view of the Bernese Alps, with the ancient geological details exposed on the foreground peak, icy glaciers dominating, then the Schreckhorn elevated above with clouds partially covering.
I would enjoy hiking this majestic Nature area.

These impressive mountain views are always frightening for a flatlander from Holland. Well done.
