This is the little catholic church of Grindlewald with the Wetterhorn Mountain creating a stunning backdrop.
I said that it was the Eiger, but thanks to my friend John Cannon (tyro) my mistake has now been corrected.

A beautiful photograph from Switzerland which just makes me want to go back and visit this stunningly beautiful country.
Your composition is excellent although I might have liked to see just a little more foreground at the bottom - that little church spire is perhaps just a little bit too much off into the corner. But the magnificence of the mountain is fabulous.
Gorgeous oblique lighting brings out every tiny detail in the church and its surroundings and also brings out the textures perfectly in the rock and snow of the mountain.
Lovely colours, perfect exposure and exquisite detail and sharpness.
P.S. Just one little quibble here - I think that this mountain is the Wetterhorn and not the Eiger. I rather think that it is! Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting up with you again in a couple of weeks and if I'm wrong, I'll buy you a pint (or two)! Have a great weekend!

Bonsoir, cher Wilson,
Le petit village et son église au pied de la montagne présentent une beauté toute particulière.
Une image fort bien cadrée pour valoriser ce lieu protégé.
Le choix de présentation verticale est excellent.
Très belle réussite.

This magnificent rugged snow capped moutain makes the perfect back drop for this charming village church
The white snow and blue sky contrast beautifully and make this a postcard winter scene.

Fantastic alpine scenery and a wise choice of a vertical frame to accentuate the dramatic height of these imposing rocky snowcapped peaks. Good sharpness & the fg village adds scale. Excellent shadow detail & a marvellous deeo blue sky. Perfect exposure on the snowy highlights which enliven the graphism. Tfs!

Fine picture of the church nestling in the shadow of the mighty Wetterhorn. Exposure has been handled well depsite of abundance of snow. The blue sky provides a fine contrast!

The distance between the church and the mountain is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the mountain and of the church. It is clear and sharp. There is a good contrast between the colors of the scene. Have a nice day.

What a beutiful scene. You have captured it perfectly in all respects. The vertical format is of course necessary when taking a photo like this. The lighting was also very good and you make great use of it. Every detail of the shaded mountainside is visible. At the same time the church stands out against the background. I do not think you could take a much better photo than this. TFS and have a nice weekend!

Just stunning !
A beautiful picture, beautifully presented. And of course the might of Mr Canon ensuring its technical brilliance !
I was here in 09/09 it was one of the most magical places I have ever been. ( I have been to lots of places - just not all magical ! )
You were surely lucky with the weather, we have a fair share of cloud and grey.
A worthy 2 pointer !
