Photographer's Note

No mistake in wich country you find yourself here. This is a postcard view of a swiss hamlet in the mountains. One almost expects Heidi to step on the balcony anytime soon.
In rural Switzerland it is a big tradition to have the balconies of all chalets and farmhouses decorated by flowers.

Wonderful shot! Your great country flag is so vivid, by red shining along with the surrounding green and gray. Another red element of garden flower play an important role too. Great shot indee! Thanks for your sharing a finest shot and have a good weekend!

Hi Daniel, I like the title. When my sons were kids, I read them the story of Heidi very often and in the book the pictures were like this. Of course, we see it is Switzerland with the flag and a high mountain behind. and I like very much thgis tradition with flowers. Nice shot.

une photo de mon pays préféré, cela me réchauffe le coeur même si il n'a pas l'air de faire des plus chauds.
J'aime ce cadrage tout personnel qui attire le regard cers le sommet tout en ne négligeant pas les balcons fleuris, tradition dans cette région, non ?

But I am never been, in this lovely country.

Hello Daniel,

You're capturing well this scene by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the mountain with snow, rich greenery and red flowers in balcony of Chalet. And, the national flag at center/lower draws out a good pride.

Great composition with the criss-crossing diagonals, Daniel, and the balanced reds of the flag and the flowers. Gorgeous landscape - the brilliant green lawn up against the snow-capped mountain is a great juxtaposition.

Great name for the image! Composition is spot on, with such a variery of rich colours to enjoy. Your positioning of the red flowers against the ominous mountain softens it so well, and of course the inclusion of the flag beside the verdant green grass is great.

Hello Daniel! In Switzerland I admire the mountain tops! features wooden houses! Flowers and war times the red flag! combined with the green of nature gives a picture very simple! but with charm!

da hast Du einen sehr passenden Titel für das Foto gefunden! Wie schön rot-weiße Flaggen in Fotos passen, habe ich auch gerade in Dänemark erlebt. Wenn jetzt noch der Himmel blau wäre, wäre das Klischee komplett.

Without question one of my absolute favorite countries, sheer natural beauty! Great job in capturing the essence of Switzerland, seemingly grass covered mountains along with flower box covered balconies on chalets, and the nice touch of sunlight on the slope...wish I were there!!
