so, back to the city for today.
This is the Basel version of Southpark. It is the newest building in a redevelopment project on the southern entrance to the railway station in Basel, in a neighborhood called "Gundeldingen" or as the locals say the Gundeli. In the modern building, built by world renewed Basel architects "Herzog & de Meuron" is housed a senior citizan residence, several shops and supermarkets as well as a bank. It gives this former neglected area of Basel a modern touch and is only one of several projects to revamp the area.
Two of the most renewed projects by Herzog and de Meuron are the Tate modern museum in London or the birds nest olympic stadium in Peking among many others. The two Basel born architects today have bureaus in New York, Paris, London or Tokyo. The city is proud of its two star architects and rightly so.

Hi dear Daniel
Yes that is a very nice geometry and metalic image indeed. F8 works very well to present long focus zone. Very sharp and clear image as usual as your trademark.
Slight contarst of the light and shadow is marvelous.
Thanks for your sharing and have a good day!

A very attractive corner. I like a lot this modern architecture and the visual effect created by it;s shapes. Well seen scene, enjoy a good day.

This is an extraordinary building. I can't tell for sure from this picture if I find it truly beautiful, but it is definitely interesting and the strange windows give the walls a dynamic pattern. A well balanced composition which is also nicely cropped.

Great subject, and well presented. The angle you've given us really helps play up the haphazard pattern of the windows and the angular quality of the building itself.
Out of curiosity, did you play around with cropping out the tree and letting the building dominate the entire frame? It would be interesting to see if that added or detracted - I can't quite decide.

A very nice tight cut has accentuated the graphism of this image. I like the repeating patterns and shapes and also the contrast of the greenery on the right of the frame.
Nice work have a beautiful day, belle journée

Wonderful shot with such clean crisp lines that echoes many strong repeated lines and shapes in nice soft colors tones depicting the modern architecture with superb geometric effect. It has been composed well and draws the eye well into lines of perspective in brilliant clarity and contrast. Excellent observation and well taken shot, Congnrats, TFS.

This is a very interesting building, I love the design of the windows, and it looks like an interesting place to live. The play of light on the upper half is very nice too . I would prefer one of the corner apartments for the double view!

Architecture tres interessante. La partie lumineuse est un peu distrayante et je pense qu il faudrait revenir sur ce lieu a un heure ou la lumiere sera uniforme, ou par ciel voile. Merci de nous faire decouvrir cet interessant batiment.
