Photographer’s Note

Before autumn disappears into winter I wanted to post some more seasonal colours, so here’s a scene I enjoyed a couple of weeks ago at a local vineyard. The vines were laden with ripe fruit, ready for picking. Various groups of pickers were working their way along the vines and harvesting the fruit, loading it into crates to be collected by a van at the bottom of the terrace. At the end of the warm sunny afternoon the sun rapidly dropped behind the hill opposite. The golden hues turned dull, an autumn chill set in and it was time to enjoy last year’s harvest at the local restaurant.

Many parts of your scene are amazing. I like splendid contrasts between riped grapes and yellow leafs but also recognized lately that there is a fantastic slope with farmer on green grasses. Ending on hill and blue, clear sky are wonderful, congratulations. Excellent clarity and sharpness in natural colors. Have a nice new week.

merveilleuses lumières et couleurs sur ces feuillages d'automne. L'image est bien composée avec cette perspective sur l'homme dans la vigne.

the colors are great and your low POV is very interesting. I also like the depth created by the vineyards and you also have some people in the far distance, which I find the icing on the cake! This is a well done shot, many thanks for sharing!

Des vignes jaunies par l'automne forment une belle perspective. J'aime beaucoup le fait que l'on aperçoivent très nettement les grappes sur les plants. Les vendanges sont visiblement en cour.

Hello Susanna,
This low pov gave you a wonderful depth in the perspective, but also a beautiful palet of coulers. the contrasting yellow and blue work great together and adding some humans makes the image even more alive....really nice work.

Ah quand je vois cela j'ai la gorge toute seche et un fort desir de riesling ou de pinot gris... Le rendu des couleurs est excellent et a 1/40s t'as pas tremble.

Lovely perspective, Susanna. Love the ondulating lines of the grapes and their darker color contrasting with the yellow. Only after a while enjoying this FG we are suddenly sucked into the background and find the worker who is a nice bonus. A very attractive picture.

un POV bien choisi dans le sillon et avec une belle profondeur, les ceps sont sacrément chargés a en voir toutes ces grappes noires, dommage que le bonhomme au fond ne ressort pas je l'ai vu juste
