Photographer’s Note

On the way from Basel to Biel/Bienne, before the town of Duggingen, I noticed this wonderful little castle perched on a rock, not far from the roadway (Baselstrasse). It is Angenstein castle (Schloss Angenstein), built in the 13th century, and it sits in the valley of the Birs river, a tributary of the Rhine.
