Photographer’s Note
After a few weeks’ absence from TE I thought I’d post a local view today and at the same time pay a visit to my occasional theme of local castles.
The castle is Schloss Angenstein and dates back at least to the 13th century, though now is privately owned. I had already taken a few shots of the castle and was walking along the road when this train came rushing by. Without any preparation I snapped a couple of shots of the train in motion before it disappeared past me. The view from the train in contrast is less interesting and one does not even get to see the castle.
I cannot remember now which way the train was travelling, hence the title – which also reflects the state of things here at the moment; I’m so busy that I don’t know whether I’m coming or going…

Bonsoir,
Claude.

Hey Susanna,
Captured in a great segment of the railway. The castle in the background provides a stunning thematic contrast. Technically its also very nice, with just the right shutter speed, lovely POV, great depth of field, and very nice colors and lighting.
Enjoy.

Bonsoir Suzanna
Alors te voilà de retour avec une image bien colorée et dynamique garce a cette vitesse relativement lente.
Belle réussite

Susanna,
I know this place with its castle extremely well. That is were my kids live in Aesch, actually Duggingen. The train is clearly in the direction from Laufen to Aesch.
I like the fact that you're giving continuity to your collection of castles and ruind of the BL.

It's good you can find a little time for TE to relax from your busy schedule. Perfectly timed shot so the rushing train carries our eye right to the castle. It has an unusual situation on top of what appears to be a tunnel. Well done

Salut Susanna
Superb sharpness, contrast & colour. I like the train heading for the distant tunnel. Tfs!

Hi Susanna,
Interesting combination of two themes, old castle and modern FLIRT (Fast Light Innovative Regional Train). Tunnel under the castle is a special detail. Motion blur works well and light is excellent.
I think Swiss trains normally operate on the left unlike Claude says, but as this seems to be a single track section it makes no difference.
