Photographer's Note

a sure sign of autumn arriving is the yearly pumpkin festival at the farm just a few minutes walking from our house. The very innovative farmer hosts several seasonal festivals during the year. the biggest of all is the pumpkin festival where there are literaly thousands of pumpkins of all sorts on display or as different dishes available to eat at the food stalls. For children one of his corn fields is turned in to a giant maze to get lost in.
During the year we often by vegetables, eggs, milk, cheese or different spirits all in biological quality from the farm.
In this case the light was far from optimal, harsh and coming from direct in the front. Therefore the original photo was not really a success. I tried here to go for a vintage approach for a better result. Find the original in a workshop for comparison

The photo is not of extreme quality, plus framing, very partial. But the subject is interesting note too.

Interesting work. I like the "vintage" treatment as it really suits the subject. Looking at this photo it's hard to tell whether it was taken yesterday or a century ago so it's timeless!

The treatment you gave it almost gives the effect of rain here - in fact until I read the note I thought this was taken in a heavy storm. You've definitely 'rescued' it by giving it a different tone and texture, and there's certainly a timeless quality here.

Une photo hors du temps renforcée par le choix du N&B. Le fait d'avoir une lumière forte et de face donne un aspect délavé, un peu vintage qui n'est pas désagréable.
