Photographer’s Note

The picture was taken in autumn near the Staffelegg Pass (621 m) which connects the area of Aarau with the Valley of Frick.
The colours were just lovely that day.

On sundays it gets quite crowded with people, as there are several nice strolls one can take.
A lot of them have a fantastic sight over the valley of the Aare, a river flowing from Aarau to Brugg.

Hallo Laura,
Your name sounds Dutch, but i see you are from Swiss....so we will go on in English.
The warm colour toning, the nice contrast with the blue sky makes this image very pleasant to look at. The emptyness but also the curve in the road make the composition very interesting, but it's the warm glow what impressed me most.
Well done, a very good shot.

A gret view Laura, I really like the way the hill slopes down in a diagonal line from left to right and the nicely detailed trees along it. The descending cloud adds a good touch of interest to the background.

This must be a wonderful place, a gorgeous valley. I like especially the beautiful light in your photo and this great depth in the scenery. Let's have a walk there ... ;-)

Hi Laura,
You have a great lead in to you photo, the road channelling the eye up to the small high clouds. But then the low lying cloud creeping up the valley brings the eye back round again. The composition is so nice to look at and the colours and contrast on this sunny day really very pleasing.

Dear Laura, or may I write hoi Laura, and you understand Swiss German? I read your intro and it was the same with me, I googled some stuff for my vacation and ended up here :) I like your little path and how it goes around the corner and you wonder what is back there, what comes next ... as in real life when you walk. Nice mood of this November day with the tiny fog patches in the valley. Happy Easter, Frohe Ostern, Gruss aus dem Toggenburg, Barbara.
