Photographer’s Note

Old beer car at the station of Rheinfelden nearby the biggest brewery in Switzerland, Feldschlösschen. In the map picture the brewery complex shows to southwest of the station. The brewery nowadays belongs to Carlsberg group.

Beer cars are quite popular among model railroaders. Different manufacturers have produced hundreds, maybe thousands of different beer cars for collectors. But actually many of those cars never existed in real life.

Bien vu ce vieux wagon de notre bière nationale, le bllan est lavé OMO blanc blanc.

Hi Kari.

Well done, I like your note a lot and your photo shows something which is new to me.
It would be a great project to make a collection of different wagons all over the world and maybe someone could make a theme for it (not me :)).

Hi Kari,
Nice capture ... the carriage which is your main subject just standout. Possibly one day somebody will turn this to a bar or restaurant considering it has some history on it. Well composed .... good work! tfs
