Photographer’s Note
After some contemplation I decided to make an experiment and stitch a large panoramic photo for posting on TE.
This is my first experience in posting large panoramas, and I really hope the file will open properly! LOL
The day was very hot, and it was even hotter on Quaibrücke where I stood to take the shot... so we were hurrying into the shade of those big trees which you can see on the left. The city seemed to be melting slowly under the hot sun.
Info about the image:
it is a stitch of 12 photos. Fortunately there was practically no lens distortion, so stitching and editing was quite easy (made in a program).
Very slight levels adjustment; sharpening (about 40% at 0.3px radius) before and after resizing.
ISO-200; focal length: 49mm.

Not bad at all for a first try, well stitched and taken at a moment where the sun does not interfere in the view
have a nice day JY

Hi Elena
and congratulations! You have managed to post an excellent large version. How many kb and how many pixels (width and height) did you manage to get it down to? I can see no compression artifacts, as I experienced, when trying myself. This is not only a technical success, it is also a very attractive scenery. The long red line along the quay (flowers?) are particularly fine. A marvellous panorama!
Kind regards
Gunnar

Brava Elena,
this panoramic view of Zurich is so fine!
Actually I wanted to comment the previous one which I haven't yet seen and that it looks promising from the thumbnail... but I love panoramic views so I'll leave that for another day. (:-)
The difficulty in stitched photso is the exposure, especially when you have a very luminous sky like in this case. I think the result is quite acceptable 'cos you dodn't see - at least my eyes - strong variations in exposure. 12 photos it's a lot! I tried once with 4 photos and I didn't like the result!
Well, you are better than me! (:-)
Have a nice weekend,
Donato

Great! For a first it is a success. 12 photos is a lot, and there are no stitches to be seen. So...my sincerest congratulations.

Hi Elena. A BEAUTIFUL landscape. The photo works especially well as a panorama. Also the large white frame makes the photo noble. Really worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Elena! How on earth could I miss THIS one and how glad I am to see that you saw the Zuerichsee without RAIN :))) I still remember our little breakfast in the mainstation. These things are the true TE treat in my eyes. Very nice panorama look of my town. My friend actually runs a restaurant that you cannot really see but is right at the very end of the shore line on the left hand side. Very good work, I never made a panorama but it is really a treat when you see it. Happy Christmas, all my best ... Barbara.
