Next day after I’ve arrived in Zurich, early morning I went back to the airport to capture this “Big Bird” which has carrying me over 10,500km from Singapore.
The photo was taken just in front of Zurich-Kloten International Airport runway, the airplane AB 380, is just 50-60m above ground.
The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide body, four-engine airplane. At the present it is the world's largest passenger commercial airliner. The AB 380 made its first flight on 27 April 2005 and began commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines, from Singapore to Sydney in Australia.
The AB 380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage, with a width equivalent to a wide-body aircraft.
The cabin provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all-economy class configurations. The AB 380-800 has a design range of 15,700 km sufficient to fly nonstop from New York to Hong Kong, and a cruising speed about 900 km/h.
And the entertainment? More than 600 movies on board.

Never saw this giant yet, Miro, your picture is an intriguing take.
The double deck and the (counted) 22 wheels of it's landing gear are an impressive sight.
Well taken the amazing big bird, so close to ground in landing speed.

nice close-up you captured here. My best and at the same time toughest flight was by Singapore Airlines, I've got quite a lot to remember from that time!:)) Oh, and I enjoyed A380 on my latest trip to Dubai. Nice room for legs there:)
Thanks for the memories and have a great weekend!

Singapore Icon well known world wide, the pride of my country! of a meaty looking aircraft simply fantastic machine. This is nicely framed with the slight tilt to give the full dynamic. Power in every sense of the word, it's wonderful so well timely frozen, crispy sharp and the bg sky suits her well giving more punch and standout. Impressive capture. Well done.

An exhausting trip that must have been, you've logged some serious km's! A great way to showcase your "bird," this close up gives a lot good detail, and even without anything to compare its scale, we can tell it's quite a massive plane. The wheels down is a great sense of arrival and anticipation of a new adventure. You certainly make the most out being around an airport, I always enjoy your eye for capturing something here that we can all relate to. Hope you're having a pleasant weekend. Take care.
All the best,

The tight frame is putting the aircraft in evidence. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the Airbus A380 of Singapore Airlines on final approach. The light has a good effcet on the colours. Have a nice day.

You're capturing well this airplane by a good angle, a good macro and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the big with four engine bird near on ground. I have memorized the Europe maker's Super Jumbo developed and manufactured, in order that A380 may oppose B747 of the U.S.

Congratulations on your catch! I had a chance to "test" out the Air France version one of these big birds on the JFK-CDG leg of our flight to Morocco last March. I was impressed by the size of the thing, but flying in economy class in one of these things is actually less comfortable than, say, a THY B-777 or A-340, or even a JetBlue EMBRAER 190. The seats were smaller than what I was used to, reclined less than what I was used to. We were right in the back, a few rows from the stairs that lead to the upper deck. Getting on at JFK was not a problem, but getting off at CDG was a pain. One would think for such a large plane, they would have more than one exit - one would think! The fact that our 5 hour + layover in Paris had got reduced to about 25 minutes did not help the experience, either. We made it across the airport with the help of ground crew who rushed us through - in fact when we got onto our flight to Casablanca, we heard the captain explain to the passengers that they were waiting for some passengers (that was us) to make their connection.
Anyway, this is about your photo of a Singapore Airlines A 380, not about my experience with AF!
Nice shot of the Beluga!

Wow! I have never taken this jumbo for travelling and I have never seen this new model of airbus.
By the way, where is that Malaysian B-777? Nobody knows...
Excellent close up! Good illustration of your informative note! TFS!
