Facing the Lake Photo

Photographer’s Note

These are some houses of the lakeside of Gandria. Gandria is a small village site on the Lugano Lake, very close to the Italian border. It is a very pictoresque place and I visited it from the lake because I was on a boat heading to Porlezza (started from Lugano). I'm sorry for the perspective distorsion very strong on the left, but I thought that this was an interesting sight anyway. I hope you like it.

Mi piace molto il gioco di luci ed ombre sulle case a strapiombo sul lago.
Anche il cielo è molto compositivo grazie alla sua parziale nuvolosità.

Hi Gabriele,
Yes, Gandria is a charming village built tightly on the lake shore. Your show is quite descriptive to loction, Ticinese houses next to water. Direction of light is perfect creating playy of light and shadow. Distortion doensn't matter to me on this case.

A beautiful photo from lake Lugano and the houses on the lake front. It is always fascinating to see the houses built this close to the lake. Good management of light and beautiful natural colours. I also like the composition, the perspective and the mountain ridges on the background. A pleasure to view!

Very nice sight indeed, the composition is great, full of colors & details, the sight of the mountains dipping in the lake in the background explains why those houses are so close to the water :D
It must be nice to be able to take a dip litterally "in the backyard" as the door & ladder on the lower left corner shows :)

sono stato una volta a Lugano ma non conoscevo Gandria: queste case sull'acqua sono bellissime, darei chissàchè per avere un appartamento lì!
Questa foto mi piace molto sia come composizione dove la fila di case conducono l'occhio diagonalmente alle montagne dello sfondo, creando così un magnifico senso della prospettiva, sia per i colori molto vivi e brillanti che rendono assieme all'eccellente nitidezza la scena molto reale. Il cielo blu con le nuvole completa questo quadretto delizioso.

Wow, that's a magnificent photograph!
The pov was extremely well chosen and the composition was quite cleverly done, with pretty effective and very attractive visual results!
Sharpness, exposure, depth of field and natural colors are excellent!
I love the colorful architecture of those buildings by the lake! The sky and the mountains in the background are true highlights in this image!

Avrei personalmente corretto l'inclinazione prospettica delle case, ma comunque mi piace molto questo paesaggio urbano e naturale lacustre, coloratissimo e soleggiato.
