Photographer’s Note

Parc di Villa Ciani. If you turn around you see the wonderful villa itself uploaded in the workshop.

Lugano lies in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano, surrounded by numerous mountains. This beautiful park by the lake is well worth a stroll around to see the mediterranean style with its sub-tropical plants.

In less than 8 hour our flight will take us to Johannisburg. See you in Oct. Have a good time.

You must be one of the most travelled people exhibiting on this site!

This is a lovely view. The people on the benches set the scene and make us want to share their incredible view across the lake. Good layers of colour beginning wih the most vivid in the f/g and receding to the dark tones in the b/g.

I have experienced this lake in novels and am not disappointed when I see it visually.

viel Spaß im Urlaub, das Bild passt sehr in solche Stimmung, wenn auch weit weniger südlich. Schöner Blick über den park zum See, der Baum links passt ausgezeichnet.

Guten Flug und gesunde Heimkehr! Johannisburg muss es aber garnicht sein - mir würde Lugano schon "reichen". Ein schönes Foto, das die hervorragende Lage dieser Stadt gut rüberbringt. Diesen Bänken habe ich auch schon "die Ehre gegeben" ;-)Grüße aus Siegen!

Hi Achim,

THe presence of the people in the foreground has an effect of scale. The point of view takes our eyes to infinity. The curve made by the park at the edge of the water is an asset to the composition. The luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice trip.

Hey Achim,

That`s a very likable photo with a fine composition. Firstly, the depth is good. Secondly the scenery is amazing - both the man-made, and the same goes for the nature behind it. Sharpness and colors are all on par, and they leave nothing to be desired.

What a pleasant view!
I was in Lugano in 2005, but it was wintertime! I enjoyed it, but I think that place might look better during summertime or springtime! During the season I was there, I would rather be in a white place up in the highest mountains!
Anyways, you photo is superb, with excellent quality and I really like it!

Une profodeur infinie est rendue par la vue des gens se reposant à l'avant-plan, par celle des piétons de l'autre côté du gazon et finalement par les montagnes.
L'ambiance est à la détente dans ce décor bien contrasté, grâce à la lumière à rebours.
J'aimerais y vivre une fin de semaine!
