Photographer’s Note

Yesterday I showed a view of Monte Bre towering the bay of Lugano.

Here you can see my "point of view" on top of this mountain. There is a restaurant with a breathtaking terrace behind it. In my picture you can see the view in a southwestern direction with the restaurant and one of the bays of Lake Lugano (Lago di Lugano).

In the workshop you can see another view - down to Lugano.

Hi Frank,
Beautiful multilevel scene. I like the way you have shown a lot of foreground, trees providing natural framing. The restaurant represents typical architecture for the area well. And great to see a familiar scene of the causeway over the lake.

Delightful composition with the framing effect of the trees. Superb viewpoint you have chosen, and the building is very sharp. Perhaps you could crop some off the top, but it's a minor point. Very nice shot.

wie ist denn das essen dort oben? *g* der blick ist ja schon mal atemberaubend! :-)
perfekt gewählter standpunkt - links sehr schön der see und die berge, in der mitte das hübsche gelbe restaurant und rechts
sogar noch ein paar weitentfernte häuser, alles wunderbar eingerahmt durch die bäume an den seiten.

La suisse carte postale! L'arbre au 1er plan est peut-etre quelque peu envahissant mais cela reste une belle compo pleine de lumiere.

The frame formed by the branches of the trees opens the sight us for a magnificent Swiss landscape, with mountains, lakes and a building very elegant and placed in a perfect point to enjoy this panoramic one.
Excellent work, with a great light, a few beautiful colors and an extraordinary depth of image.

İch hab's zwar nicht genauer erkennen koennen, aber Lugano war vor 38 Jahren die Ort wo wir unsere ein woechige Hochzeitsreise verbrachten !
Danke fuer diese Erinnerung mit dieser tollen Aufnahme mit der natuerlichen Umrahmung und den tollen sanften Farben. Unten am Ufer hat man nicht diesen Eindruck; aber das Leben dort (besonders Nachts) einen viel meondaenen Treiben.

Both pictures are very nice, but I prefer this picture for the wonderful depth and perspective.
You used excellent the branches as frame, this gives a nice composition.

wie machst Du es , dass Du solch klare und sonnige Tage für Deine Photos erwischst? Der Damm von Melide erscheint ganz nah! Schön gelungen mit dem Rahmen und dem norditalienischen Novecento Bau rechts im Bild. Dieses Bild weckt keine Kindheiterinnerung, da meine Luganer Tante nie auf den Monte Brè hinaufwollte (schliesslich soll man von hier aus wandern...). Du hast schon früher Bilder von einer solchen Wanderung gezeigt!

Good title as the POV is very well chosen. The height above the scene is just right for showing the lake surrounded by mountains and the restaurant. The framing by the trees works very well to draw our attention through the image. Good work

Very nice point of view, and I beleive this restaurant is attracting lots of people just for that (I hope the cooking is up to the location). Very good use of the two trees as a natural framing.

"Ton" POV est superbe. Tu as su en profiter pour capturer ce beau paysage. La photo est bien équilibrée, le restaurant très bien situé dans l'image.

Ganz tolles Bild! Als ich jung war war der Monte Bre noch ein wilden Berg. Es ist jetzt so schwierig ein gutes Bild ohne alle die Hauser zu bekommen... Um so besser!
