Photographer’s Note
Graffiti decorated underground station of Locarno S. Antonio on the Fart (Ferrovie autolinee regionali ticinesi) railway line.
Class ABe4/6 electric train approaching platform from direction of Locarno main station. The section between Locarno and Solduno was put to a tunnel out of city streets in 1990.

I like this composition, a very "urban" photograph. I like the incoming train, slightly aside in the frame, with the lights towards the camera, and the colored wall. Very well composed.

I like the way the metro comes 'tilting' into the picture. Nice urban feel.

Terve Kari,
Nice disposition of elements to create image dynamics, the grafitti is superb in this station environment, fine sharpness for a hand held shot
Have a nice day JY

Graffiti and trains. A great combination like you already told me. I like this scene of yours once again. It's good that you have included this metallic bench in the foreground. Otherwise that area would become a little empty and the picture would loose some depth. The standing guy is a huge bonus although I would like to see even more people standing and moving over the platform. The train was captured perfectly.

hi kari,
Well managed interior lighting , interesting perspective and great colors of the painting on the wall, this station is a bit lugubrious...

Graffiti coloré et bien en évidence. L'effet de la courbe les rends encore plus joli. Bien de nos jours , bien vu belle conception Réal.

Great composition and light management karj , I think a longer exposure time could have captured nice train trails , however is good also as it is .

Hi Kari
Well timed shot, showing of the colourful graffiti and moving train at the same time. Your pov is excellent having the line of the rails and platform graphically placed bottom left to create depth. Nice having the man too to add life.

Hei Kari!
Nice, both the view of the train and the graffiti.
But I guess this can be called murals, instead of graffiti. That's my humble point of view: murals are planned and painted on purpose, usually commissioned by authorities; graffiti may be similar paintings, but made by will of the painters, often against the will of the authorities.

Hi Kari,
In the first place is this picture if high technical quality in this difficult circumstances. But also the composition with the train coming out of the black hole and the graffiti of high quality and beautiful colours.
The man in blue standing in front of the blue bench and blue advertisement is a refined detail.

Very cool picture, I like the curvy lines, the motion blur and the bright colours. Looks like the graffiti is "sanctioned" here, they have provided space for it, which is very nice indeed. But i CANNOT believe they named their subway "FART"!!!!
Silent but deadly.

Hi Kari
A good daily life scene with the colourful graffiti adding zest to this shot. I like the humourous title. Superb sharpness & the tilt of the train is well timed & provides extra interest. Tfs!
