Photographer’s Note

When waiting for the bus in Locarno, southern Switzerland, I couldn't resist to take a photo of these wonderful old Ladies - one patient with the newspaper and two obviously indignant because of the lateness of 2 minutes ... in Switzerland nearly a crime ;-))

They certainly don't look very happy; they ought to try waiting for a bus in London! Very good daily life shot; the expressions are excellent.

Hi Frank,

you're right when saying they are nearly impatient when I look into their eyes. You could also have put this photo into the humorous category. A well taken daily life scene...

Greuezi Frank !
Endlich 'mal was ganz ganz anders ! Voellig aus der Reihe getanzt. Hoffentlich ist keine von diesen dreien Dein "girl friend" !!!
Die rote Farbe an der linken Ecke sorgt fuer einen perfekten Ausgleich. Und der dunkle Laubwerk oben und rechts oben, hebt die beiden Gesichter herrlich ab.

PS.Heute frueh morgen wurde zwei Stunden lang gewandert, jetzt am spaeten Nachmittag gehen wir auf "Enkelkindwache" weil die Eltern einen Hochzeit besuchen muessen !

Hi Frank,
I like this composition, you have three heads in a straight diagonal line here, also with a fine perspective effect. I also get the impression that this picture was "shot from the hip"! They don´t seem to realise that they were captured. A different photo from you ;)

Hallo frank. Du hast dich also rangetraut an die alten Damen. Der Blick der mittleren ist schon sehr interessant. Was mag sie wohl denken beim Anblick der auf sie gerichteten Kamera. Vielleicht spricht sie noch am Abend darüber, dass sie heute photographiert worden ist. Für Gesprächsstoff ist also gesorgt. Mir gefällt das Photo sehr gut. Viele Grüße, wolfgang.

Ich finde es toll das du sie so fotografierst hast weil es schtimt was CH pretzis anghet...ich kenne par oma hier die alt geworden sind weil die den bus immer noch warten seit lange zeit!!!!
Ein bisele schpas und ich hofe das der bus schnel angekommen ist
