Photographer’s Note
Canton of Schwyz in Central Switzerland is the region where the whole country got it's name. Cantonal capital has the same name. While the little town has no major attractions, the town square has many nice old buildings and scenes from the surrounding hills are great. House Betlehem in the picture is believed to be the oldest wooden building in Switzerland, dating from 1287. Mythen mountain in the background.
Adjusted curves on the roses and white wall to rescue tones from the edge of overexposure.

Hi Kari. Delicate roses in the foreground, a gruff old mountain in the distance and an aging personality (doesn't every home have a personality?) in the middle. Lovely crisp air and clear colours. Well done. Regards. Klaudio.

Kari,
This is a very nice capture! Your angle and POV is excellent giving us a nice layered photo with good details. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness. The roses add a nice splash of color to the shot.

Asa

A nice photo Kari and definitely much better than mine of the same building.
You did a nice work on the roses as they have now become the centerpiece of the photo. On the other hand, House Betlehem has lost a lot of its special character. It is a massive (!) rustic building which, I believe, desrves to be in the picture in its entirety to convey the full impression. Besides, the structure boasts an unusual ground level window which, sadly, cannot be seen on your photo.
Nevertheless, a very nice composition with the building and the mountain serving as a mere background for the roses.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day!

I really like the flowers in the front here. The old building looks so lovely! Everything is very vivid. Very beautiful. TFS

Terve Kari,
So if numbers are right this venerable house is 4 plain years older than Switzerland ! nice succession of layers, the wide angler in me would have loved to see the whole house, although that would have reduced the flowers importance.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

HEllo Kari,
I don't how a picture could be more Swiss typical as this one ;-)
Excellent shot showing different level of interest.

Hi Kari,
An interesting contrast showing the ruggedness of the mountain in the background and the delicate flowers in the foreground. Well composed with excellent image quality. Well done! tfs

Hi Kari
Good composition of the three levels: roses, house, mountain.
You say "the little town has no major attractions". But maybe you agree these little Swiss towns and villages are themselves the attraction.

F
