Shot in Schwyz on a very warm day when I decided to see what the heart of Switzerland looks like, at last :)
The site myswitzerland.com says about Schwyz: "The lively town of Schwyz, capital of the canton with the same name, is home to the Forum of Swiss History and important founding documents of the Swiss Confederation."
It seemed to me on that day that the whole place was either asleep or deep in some sort of siesta :)
While I was there I had a feeling as if the Time was flowing very slowly.
What really made me happy is the absence of tourists!
I only saw 2-3 people with cameras on the main square when I was leaving the town late in the afternoon.
Those very few local people whom I met while walking about the town either looked at me with much curiosity and a smile (because of the camera, I presume), or tried talking to me (in German only) or simply greeted me while driving by.
Briefly speaking, the town made quite a funny impression on me, and, perhaps, if I get a chance I may visit it again.
When I returned to the hotel where I was staying in Luzern, I talked to the lady at the reception and shared my impressions of this town with her, especially the fact that none of those who I talked to in Schwyz knew English.
Her immediate reaction was (with a smile): "No wonder - it is the most typical place in Switzerland! The heart of it!"
Those Swiss people who are reading this Note may either agree or disagree with the lady receptionist :)
PS. Still very sorry - no time for commenting activity, just the time to post a photo :(

This looks indeed like a very peaceful and quiet little town. The red car is in a way standing out from the very calm mood here. A good and interesting street scene.

Very nice houses and very nice, bright colours. You snapped the red car at a fine moment when it was well placed. It is nicely matched by the flowers in the foreground and several other red details. Your note about this pretty town is also quite amusing.

A well chosen PoV showing all those flowers around the roundabout. Such a tea room looks very inviting, giving opportunity to view the life of small town from a balcony.
Indeed Schwyz has all the charms of a Swiss town with mountain background, old and even older houses and cattle pastures just a couple of blocks away. And no tourists as it is slightly out of the way without major attractions, if you don't count the Victorinox factory. (Looking at TE gallery proves this. Yours is the first submission from Schwyz on this decade.)
