Train of Rigi-Bahnen from Arth-Goldau approaching Rigi-Staffel. Rigi-Bahnen
consists of two lines climbing to Rigi from Vitznau and Arth-Goldau. The line from Vitznau
is the oldest mountain rack railway in Europe, opened in 1871. The line from Arth was ready four years later. Both Rigi lines use the Riggenbach
rack system, and have normal 1435 mm rail gauge unlike most cogwheel railways.

Hi Kari
The mountainous feature of this railway was very well captured in this photo. A good composition.
You avoided very well the white sky.

Hi Kari, such a pretty picture! It looks like a toy train in that wonderful scenery. Maybe it would have been nice to see more of the trees on the top but it is still beautiful as it is! TFS, Tali

It's a wondeful panorama and the train with it's railway is a great add on , compliments , well done.

The setting of this is truly breathtaking. One can barely imagine being one of the builders and facing the inevitable dangers of the steep slopes

Hi Kari,
Beautiful swiss landscape is looking great. We generally see these type of scenes in Indian movies. Travelling through this Train in this lush environment is certainly unforgettable.
Excellent POV and colors.

Hi Kari,
Gorgeous landscape in this very good capture. Excellent colours and sharpness. I like the contrast between the train colours and the green.
TFS and greetings

Terve Kari,
Ah the ones I've been waiting for ;-)
With this wide framing we don't get to see much of the train details, but can note that its colors is unusual for a swiss train, white & blue... possibly imported from Finland ? But it's nice to see it in its environment. and where are the grazing cows ?
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Kari,

Wonderful landscape with two unexpected blue cars climbing instead of the usually red one.
