En bonne compagnie cette nuit, avec JJ d'un côté et JY de l'autre...

Seulement toi pourra nous dire s'il reste du piqué dans ce blanc immaculé, mais en format TE, ça donne l'impression d'être limite. Décidémment, j'aime de plus en plus ces verts agrumes que nous offre le printemps et qui rend les photos tellement plus vivante que lorsque l'été s'installe et que les verts deviennent uniformes et sans éclat.

Bon point de vue sur ta prochaine maison; maintenant, il faut faire un peu de visualisation en collant cette photo sur ton frigo. C'est comme ça que tu finiras par en posséder une, en conditionnant ton mental...

Superbe papagolfade suisse! Ils l'ont repeinte spécialement pour toi? Très jolie composition, très lumineuse, avec un chalet qui suffirait à mon bonheur, c'est sûr!

What a wonderful scenery! There's so much calm, dignity and solidity in this. I like this shingle roof of the church very much - quite different from the slated roof here. The diagonals of the way work very well here. A truly pleasing picture!

Interesting to read this Jean Yves.
Never realized that the name from this country come from one of the cantons.
The white building (is it a church or a house people live in??) must have given you some trouble with the lighting. You managed this rather well.

Je vois que tu as choisi d'aller te balader dans une vallée qui a récemment tristement fait la une de l'actualité suisse. Ta photo nous montre que celle-ci offre heureusement d'autres richesses que des faits divers sordides...
Comme le dit le cousin, ça semble limite cramé cette façade toute blanche, mais peut être est ce juste l'effet de juxtaposition avec le chalet plus sombre à côté. Chouette ta future maison et à ce que je vois largement assez de place pour accueillir les copains pour un week-end TE! ;o)

The light in this image look very good as the image looks awesome in my screen. Your composition is excellent, with very good contrast and colour saturation. I like this view because is peaceful and the architecture very interesting. I figure many people would find this place appealing to live because of the natural beauty and clean air. Cheers :-)

Alors je viens de comprendre pourquoi toutes ces photos... On cherche une maison? ;-) Attention; juste à côté de l'église c'est souvent râpé pour faire la grasse matinée le dimanche matin! D'autant plus que le cousin de droite va t'embêter avec ses mariages le samedi en plus! Les blancs me paraissent pour une fois un peu cramés!

2 cousins, 2 églises, et 2 styles d'architecture bien distincts. On est servis en ce dimanche matin !

Joli écrin de verdure, tout en dégradé, pour présenter ce beau chalet typique.
Le clocher de l'église est également intéressant et se découpe bien sur les cimes.
Bravo et merci pour le bol d'air suisse !

Indeed, terrible light, absolute not the best weather and light to make pictures. But because it's sunday you had to go out finding a church for todays posting ;-)
I think i crossed this valley a few years ago on the way to Schwyz, but can't remember exactly. The composition is nice, but you should return someday when the light is much better, those whites on the wall are not at their best.

Superbe image avec un POV qui met bien les bâtiments en valeur. Je parle de bâtiments avec s en effet tu as eu la bonne idée de ne pas photographier l'église seule mais de l'insérer dans un ensemble avec ces magnifiques maisons de bois et la végétation. A ce sujet, j'aime beaucoup les nuances de vert qui pointent leur nez dans la forêt derroère le village.

Effectivement, tu es allé la chercher au confin de la suisse "primitive" celle là !
Un décor enchanteur il faut bien l'avouer. Tu as trouvé un bon point de vue dégager pour nous présenter cette église schwytzoise.
Je vois que tu n'a pas hésité à faire un pélerinage dans les profondeur de la suisse. Là ou nul suisse ne met les pieds... Cela en valait la peine.

This is a fine papagolfade showing some fine architecture. Your composition is great balancing the church with the chalet. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and DOF. I think that a polarizing filter would have helped to eliminate the glare on the facade of the church.

Magnifique image typiquement suisse . Les bâtiments ressortent superbement sur le fond boisé . Peut-être aurait-il fallu voir un peu plus la petite route qui descend .

JY,
despite the not optimal light conditions you got a nice image from the Muotathal. The feeling of being a foreigner is a constant everywhere in Switzerland but certainly more in central cantons. Schwyz, Uri are very much the Ur-Schweiz and the feeling that I had being there was always that Wilhelm Tell would be turning around any corner any given time. Your image gives this exact feeling and I have the impression to see the feather of his hat appearing behind the right building.

The light is not sparkling on this day jean yves, but you have a very evenly exposed surface with bright and clear detail. We can feel that it is , maybe, a cool and rainy place, in the shadow of the mountains. The steep rise of the mountains allows you to hang the buildings on a green curtain, to great effect. There is a nice spacial relationship between the two principle structures. You present the beauty and give us a feel of this lovely place. regards kevin

i like the way the picture lead up to the architectures. i feel that the bright sun has burned the white walls of the building, but then again, its is sharp contrast with the lush green outfield. the trees behind the building looks so calm and composed. great work done...

JY, this is great it is so typically Switzerland to those of us from afar. The colors are nice and the detail is wonderful. The two types of buildings are very different in their coloring and that adds to the composition. As far as this being a conservative canton, well I can identify with that desire. Nice capture.

Those spring colours look great. Yellow flowers on the meadow, and light greens on the background trees. Very good combination of the church and old house. Your note made me to think whats different compared to other regions. The window shades are missing!

Bonjour, Jean-Yves. Les deux bâtiments se mettent mutuellement en valeur grâce au contraste du bois du chalet avec les murs blancs de l'église. Le vert printanier est aussi une très bonne toile de fond pour le blanc de l'édifice religieux.
