Photographer's Note
Eurocity train from Zurich (Switzerland) to Milano (Italy) requires 3:40 hrs for 285km route from Zurich to Milano including 5 stops in Switzerland and one stop in Italy.
There are 17 direct trains (between 6:30 am and 8:00 pm) running on the route from Zurich to Milano every day.
The train on the photo is passing the town of Arth on Lake Zug close to famous 15 km long St. Gotthard railway tunnel.
After opening the new 57 km long St. Gotthard Base Tunnel (currently under construction) in 2016, the train journey from Zurich to Milano will be shortened by one hour. This will be the longest railway tunnel in the world.

Bonjour Miro,
Quel magnifique paysage. La montagne est superbe et les maisons qui s'accrochent à ses flancs toutes aussi belles les unes que les autres. Un superbe cadrage et un très beau moment.
Bon samedi

Hello Miro,
An interesting shot. Could be a decisive moment too, as you caught the train. Excellent framing and natural colours. The traditional houses are interesting too.
Have a nice Sunday,
Regards,
Maria

Awesome capture of this beautiful hillside village but unfortunately the serenity is broken by the ramble of trains. Good lighting and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hello Miro,
This picturesque mountainous scene with elegant train is a very good illustration for the interesting story about railway transportation between Zurich and Milano. The landscape around the route is simply beautiful on its both natural and man-made features. Excellently composed, masterfully captured and interestingly commented in the note!
Best regards,
Sergiy

Hello Miro,
This is a stunning view of the beautiful, green mountanside and the fine traditional Swiss buildings. I could imagine that this area has looked the same for a long time, so the addition of the super modern train is quite stunning and gives another dimension to the composition. If I am to criticize anything it would be a certain lack of contrast.
Kind regards,
Gert

Salut cher Miro
Wow, that's a big train and I like the way it seems to cut the landscape in half and provide a wonderful contrast to all the green tones that dominate. The POV is superb and the inclusion of the houses gives us a sense of scale aswell as a touch of history in confrontation to the modern electric train.
Bonne amitiés

Hi Miro
This is rather a dynamic bit of landscape, a well timed shot with good sense of space and great distance effect. Beautiful and very impressive of a stunning rural view full of lively greenery and the backdrop is amazing with the moving train simply pops out stunningly in the setting. Very clever of you to spot the potential and even cleverer to make it work! Congrats.
Kind regards

Hi Miro,
The wideness of the valley is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the houses and of the train. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
