This series of photographs is offering a short journey around Switzerland, a landlocked country geographically divided between the Alps, the Swiss Plateau and the Jura, bordering with France, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Italy.
Switzerland (the Swiss Confederation) consists of following 20 cantons (states) and 6 half-cantons: Aargau, Appenzell Ausserhoden*, Appenzell Innerhoden*, Basel Landschaft*, Basel Stadt*, Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Glarus, Graubünden, Jura, Lucerne, Neuchatel, Nidwalden*, Obwalden*, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, Solothurn, St. Gallen, Thurgau, Ticino, Uri, Valais, Vaud, Zug and Zurich (*=half-canton).
From each canton I’ll post 2 photos and from each half-canton 1 photo, total 46 photographs.
The Canton of Schaffhausen is the northernmost canton of Switzerland. It is located north of Canton Zurich and west of Lake Constance. The Rhine Falls are the largest waterfalls in Europe and lie on the border of the canton of Schaffhausen and canton of Zurich.
Except short borderline with canton Zurich, the canton of Schaffhausen is almost entirely surrounded by Germany. The capital city is Schaffhausen.
There are 35 buildings or sites in Schaffhausen that are listed as Swiss heritage sites of national significance.
This photo was taken in the old portion of the city, which has many fine Renaissance era buildings decorated with exterior frescos and sculptures. The captured building was built by rich merchant family in year 1721. Famous Swiss Franz Carl Weber toy shop is located at the ground level of this old building.
Schaffhausen is located 170km northeast from Bern and 52km north from Zurich.

architetture e bellezze locali, un bel connubio, fanno sempre parte delle belle composizioni.
Splendidi i riflessi sulle finestre e bel tocco i vasi di geraniin chiusura.

You've used the subdued light to eliminate harsh shadows. The young blond serves as a strong focal point, and the brilliant a peppering of "Swiss red" in the sign create highlights.

This is a nice combination of a fine building and an attractive woman, seated in the rigt spot facing the right direction. Red flowers and red and green signs are fine details, and so are the reflections in the windows.

Good evening Miro,
Don't know what to appreciate more: The fine architecture details on the facade, or the beautiful typical lady you managed to add here.
This town, as I assume, has a great influence from German culture, notable on this street view.
I wish you a nice trip to Italia.

Although a very simple composition of the facade of the building, but the presence of the young lady sitting on the bench has added a lot of attraction in it.Clear and lucid image with nice framing to get a beautiful glimpse of the Swiss town.TFS
Regards and keep sharing

As much as I enjoy the beauty of this facade, and the fine composition, it's the moment captured here that I find the most compelling. This womans gaze upward gives a wonderful sense of intrigue...just what is it that has her attention?? It leaves me wanting to know more, and I think that's what makes this brilliant! Even without the inquisitive expression, this would still have captured a perfect, calm and peaceful time on the streets. Lovely presentation, thanks for sharing this fun little moment. Have a great day.
All the best,

Another great shot and expressive crop, it's the combination of contrasting colours, shapes and its unique architecutral style that caught attentions. A charming facade with bags of delicate details to absorb and a lively human presence giving a nice touch. The lighting is pleasantly exposed achieving an appealing effect with your exquisite work as usual. Congrats.

You're capturing well this place by a good vertical format and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the tasteful old building with shop, decoration and flower in back. A young woman seems to relax at bench.
