Heading back from a hike on a nice spring day, we came across a few groups of bicyclists going up, slowly but surely. Hope you are all outside doing things instead of being indoor looking at this image. Have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Wildhaus is a municipality in the Wahlkreis (constituency) of Toggenburg in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

The village is located on Wildhaus Pass (1090 m.) from Gams, in the Rhine valley, to Unterwasser in Toggenburg between the Churfirsten peaks and Säntis. The municipality has an area of 34.43 km² and a population of 1258 as of 31. December 2003.

The ski slopes above Wildhaus, Unterwasser and Alt St. Johann on the Churfirsten ranges reach 2262 m.

I hope the weather here will allow me to go outside too ;-)
I keep my fingers crossed for today!
These cyclists are courageous. I always wonder how they can do this in the mountain. It is a very physical exercise.
I would prefer walking and having time (and strength) to concentrate on the landscape, which is beautiful.
Nice composition, with this village, surrounded by mountains.

A wonderful scenery . This is a very typical swiss village , with the farm in the fore-ground , the elegant church , and the green grass . The band of bikers adds a touch of life .

No kidding, you are getting closer to my second home with each shot :) I like the little group of bicyclists making their way up and I know too well how steep these hills are and how hard they have to work to reach their destination. The bicyclists have to go up the mountain but our eyes may easily go down that road to that white church while we can enjoy the beautiful Alpine landscape.
The colours are beautiful and the good composition shows clearly all the elements of a typical Swiss landscape.

yes we will go to see this tremendous and picturesque place.Vivid colors and brilliant light are main elements of the photo.The cyclists and the good contrast between the different tints of the green grass make the capture memorable.A landscape view that looks like a cart postal.Well done.

Well, Way, it's Monday and I'm not working, but I'm still inside looking at your image, although it's a beautiful warm day outside :) Marvellous mountain view - this is a place I wouldn't mind to live in...I like the title. The inclusion of the cyclists in this corner is perfect and then it's a pleasure to descend the winding road until discovering the lovely church and even better, the wonderful mountains that call for me. The composition is meticulous and the lighting is well managed considering that all this FG is at the shadow. Beautiful.

in this image I like a lot the way in which have managed the light with the beautiful church exposed to the sun. The bicycle in the summer and the skis in winter, are the two most suggestive ways to cross these fantastic landscapes.

the perfect choice to include the cyclists allowed you to balance the compo with a strong focal point. The eye is leaded to discover the beautiful view starting from them and follow the road. The color contrast and balance has made this capture very pleasant with FG in shadow and the rest in natural light. Good composition. I can see the road surface is good for biking.

The time is perfect for this superb composition which has the cyclists in the FG on the road leading diagonally to the church at 1/3 position of the frame. The sunlight provides a strong contrast between the background and Fg.

Nice composition here using the road to lead the eye through the shot and using the barn to balance the church. The bicyclists add a good point of interest for the scene as well as adding life and motion. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.
