Photographer’s Note

This is lake no. 1 on the 5 lakes hike. It is called Wangsersee with reference to the starting point of the trail at the peaks station of the cablecar which starts in the little village of Wangs down in the valley.The lake is much deeper and than Schottensee and completely - almost crater like - surrounded by mountains. So it shows a very intense blue colour.

A surprisingly blue colur indeed for a mountain lake in the Alps. A fine mountain view.
