Photographer’s Note

You do not have a déjà vu, it IS a déjà vu ;))) I had a mistake in my frame and when I saw it I already had two messages left on my photo. I decided to re-post so I would not loose your lovely comments. I enjoyed each of them.

So much to my frame, and don’t say anything, I know it might be on the neurotic side :))) but so this is me!

I was hiding this little darling in a workshop not long ago and some of the girls suggested that I should show her in a main post, and as it is Christmas I thought it would be appropriate to behave, at least once in a while I try :))))) She is the farmer’s youngest daughter that owns the DeLavalle CowBrush and she was watching me carefully when I did the pictures of HER cows and she stayed in the snow for a little while not minding the cold too much, not really sure if she should trust me, and NO chance whatsoever to bring her inside the house, NO listening to her mother :))) She could be me, I never listened when it came to water or snow, blue lips, frozen feet but stubborn, actually I guess I still am but meanwhile I like it drier, a fire place maybe, yes THIS suits my taste.

I liked the light here, a winter light, pretty late in the afternoon, the sun was beginning to hide behind the mountain peaks and when the shade came it was pretty cold, something below zero.

Well it is xmas eve, what can I say to you other than enjoy some lovely moments with people you like, I will be at my father’s place and I am pretty sure his oven is going strong already and I had times when I tried to change him and his lovely lady friend that they should cook less but as I am a little older myself meanwhile I let them do their own thing, this is what I learned, we all want to do our things the way we want it, so our parents have the same right, hey, they get older, we all get older, and I begin to enjoy the true taste of life. Merry Christmas!

Be happy 1 and Be happy 2 ... just for fun, cause I thought they looked so HAPPY.

Hi,
a great winter scene. It looks so serence and the sharpness/clarity of the picture is quite amazing. You can really make out all of the details. The picture is well composed and the backdrop the snow, its different lines and the shadows look beautiful as well.

Liebe Barbara,
Was war gestern los ? Gut dass dieses huebsche Engel nicht verlorengegangen ist.
Sanftes Gegenlicht macht alles noch schoener und verleiht der ganzeb Szene eine tolle "weihnachtliche" Stimmung.

Well I don't know what happened but I commented on this shot yesterday and it's back for a rerun. I still like it though. The nice even light on her face and the plain simple BG make this a very appealing image and who can resist these little munchkins anyway.
By now you will be walking off your turkey dinner.

She certainly is a an angel. I'm glad you moved her out of the WS. She makes a wonderful Christmas card. I also love the pix of your brother and his girl; she looks a lot like your profile photo. Guess your fine dinner is over now.

ein tolles Portrait von diesem rosa Engel im Schnee.
Du hast hier ein wunderschönes Spiel mit dem sanften Licht und Schatten eingefangen. Es wirkt auf dem weissen Schnee besonders gut. Die junge Dame in rosa-farbenem Winterdress bildet einen feinen Kontrast und ist sehr gut im Bild positioniert. Gefällt mir ausgezeichnet.

Liebe Barbara,
ich weiß nicht, was mit dem Rahmen war. Bin ich blind gewesen? Ich habe sowieso nur auf das Gesicht des Mädchens geschaut. Vielleicht bin ich auch etwas neurotisch... ;-) Ach was, wir sind eben nur Menschen und als solche machen wir auch Fehler. Ich habe gestern mein Weihnachstbild mit dem Titel "Merry Christmas 2009" an etwa 100 Freunde verschickt! Doof, das 8 und 9 so eng nebeneinander liegen... Total peinlich, aber so ist es eben manchmal. Vielleicht will Gott, dass wir selbst über uns lachen...

Hi Barbara,
What a lovely child a bundled up in her pink snowsuit. The little darling enjoy a richly textured fresh snow backdrop that is blessed with fine light that brings out tranquil shadows throughout.
I trust St. Nick was good to you this Chrisstmas, unfortunately I got a bag of coal (because of my poor behavior) my granddaughter said it was because I tease her to much. Oh well I will try to be better the coming year but then again a year is a long time to be good.

really this cute little girl looks like an angel looking to you with a somehow uncomfortable manner.Any way, her pinkish windcheater looks like to be similar with the pinkish tints of the light that falls on the snow.I like this calmly and tranquil atmosphere, as the complementary photos in the WS.Well done.

Super, daß Du diesen kleinen Schatz "richtig" gepostet hast. Ich glaube, im Workshop hätten viele diese süße Aufnahme übersehen. Das Licht auf diesem Foto ist einfach zauberhaft, genau wie die Kleine. Eine wirklich magische Stimmung hast Du da wunderbar eingefangen.
Ich hoffe, Du hattest erholsame Weihnachtsfeiertage und keine Probleme mit dem Menü! ;o)

She is a gorgeous little angel even though she is looking at you a bit suspiciously. The light on this is great. I love how it is picking up the ridges in the snow and the texture. The downward shadows at the top all seem to be pointing at the little girl too.

the light is absolutely beautiful, the soft pink goes so well with the colour of the girl's clothes, and also with her expression that seems to say "I KNOW I'm a princess" :) the delicate patterns of shadows work really well to fill the empty space without making it too heavy. excellent work, I really like it.

What a cute little girl. The pink color of her clothes make a unique combination with the snow and the orange tinge of the sunlight.
