This is the small funicular railway that connects Unterwasser to the intermediate station in Iltios from which a cable car goes up to the Chaeserrugg to enjoy a spectacular view. As often in Switzerland it comes with a nice red color that makes it interesting to oppose to a mostly green background.

I don't see the problem, Jean Yves,
you are allowed to place a copyright stamp on your photos. And if this is what it takes to KEEP thieves from stealing and using it or IB from selling YOUR work? What can they say? Great color, excellent diagonal line and a wonderful view behind. Many thanks and kindest wishes,

Hi Jean Yves,
It is easy to see your point, but at the same time a picture thief could easily crop away the text and still keep the essential part of your excellent photo. This is of course the bright red train!

I like this capture of this railway, it is a very charming one and I take it as a symbol for the direction of this fascinating site. TFS!

Bonjour Jean Yves ,
C'est vraiment la carte postale touristique suisse typique . Des photos comme cela , des offices de tourisme peuvent te l'"emprunter" . MAis il me semble que les Suisses ne sont pas voleurs . Enfin , je n'ai pas compris grand chose à la discussion en cours , mais j'aime beaucoup l'image : le pin est l'élément qui , pour moi , complète à merveille la composition .

toi aussi tu donnes dans l'humour... mais le sujet est tout de même inquiétant de se faire piller... j'ignore si cela m'est arrivé - j'en suis certain - vu malgré tout le peu de demande d'autorisation.

En tout cas pour la photo, c'est pile poil la carte postale des vacances... je croyais que c'était là le prochaine rencontre TE !

Hi JY, I see that after Andreas you make this label, as a threatening for IB, I suppose. I am worried about the future of TE. How it will be? Splendid shot, btw. I like this red railway and fantastic panorama behind it.

J'ai un peu de mal à suivre parfaitement les discussions en anglais sur le forum mais l'utilisation commerciale des images de TE ( alors que rien n'était prévu en ce sens au début) n'est pas acceptable. J'espère que les administrateurs pourront revenir sur leur décision, sinon ce sera la fin de ce beau site!

Nice contrast between the red funicular and over the green landscape.

With all your precious works in here it's best you have protection. There should be a watermark option here in TE. Kinda gets in the way but proves a point here.

Je n'ai toujours pas bien compris qui est parti (enfin, j'en ai repéré quelques-uns, y en a-t-il tant que ça??) mais je comprends que le changement des règles ait soulevé de nombreuses protestations.
Finalement, je suis contente d'être revenue après la tempête :d
Et donc j'apprécie ce beau funiculaire rouge qui grimpe, qui grimpe sans se préoccuper du beau paysage qu'il laisse derrière lui.

Great shot JY, and funny too with the copyright on top. TE is a different subject but the shot is fantastic. This one mre than any I have seen tells the whole story, the steepness of the slope and the altitude achieved, great stuff.
