Photographer’s Note

St Gallen is a rather obscure city of Northeastern Switzerland that currently faces the opportunity to get a much better coverage on TE, it is worth it because the city is beautiful and listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List due to the building complex you see on this image, a stitch of 5 frames.

The Convent of St Gall has been during 10 centuries starting in the VIII th century one of the most important in Europe, it is a perfect example of a great Carolingian monastery and features one of the richest and oldest libraries in the world with very rare manuscripts. The comprehensive view you see here results from the Baroque rebuilding that occured between 1755 and 1768.
