Photographer’s Note

In the Sankt Gallen's downtown, at the Neugasse, I saw this tree with its branches covered all by the snow that was falling since some three hours before I took this picture, and contrasted against the blue/purple sky on the background.

Interestingly, I have never seen a sky at dusk that had these two colours. They are normally deep blue, gray or brown, but not purple. So I shot several pictures at different settings with my camera and chose this one to post on TE.

Due to the long exposure, the lights of the stores at ground level were overexposed. I tried to PP them to look better, but this is as much as I have done, because I don't want the picture to be altered.

There was almost nobody walking through these streets on Easter Sunday, so I was uninterrupted when I took the picture.

The 'stars' on the sky are just some snowflakes that were still falling when I shot the picture. The 'shooting stars' are cables relfecting the light from below, or maybe the light from the camera's flash, that I set to +2.
