Photographer’s Note
This artfully decorated window in a well restorated fachwerk-house (the method of using wooden support beams with the space between filled with clay and wood or bricks) caught my attention. The area around the Abbey of St. Gall is well kept and truly a beautiful place.
BTW: "fachwerk" does not describe the type of house you see here, but rather the construction with beams in a manner that leads to them never experiencing forces which might bend them, but only which compress or pull on them.
Note: as the building around the window :-) is very crooked, cropping the image is quite impossible. The workshop shows a variant, but I still like the full frame better.

Hi Ben
wonderful window...I like very much the play between colors and lines, you had made a good composition. Very nice contrast and combination of colors.

This is all about graphics and symmetry. Other than a good colour and a perfect exposure, what can we say? Well done.
