Photographer’s Note

I took this photo on my journey to Italy. We just passed Luzern when we suddenly saw these clouds over the "Vierwaldstättersee". We left the highway immediately and took this amazing photo. The fisherman on the left side seems to run for shelter from these clouds.

The Vierwaldstättersee is a very beautiful lake in the heart of Switzerland. Around the lake you have very cliffy mountains with rough rock faces. It is always a pleasure to drive on this highway because of the beautiful landscape.

Hi Sven,
die Komposition ist sehr schön und macht so einiges aus. Ich glaube, ein bißchen Schärfe hätte die Häuser und das Boot noch etwas deutlicher dargestellt. Schade, dass im Hintergrund nicht mehr viel zu erkennen ist, die Wolkenstruktur am Berg wäre bestimmt gut anzuschauen.

Hi Sven,
I agree Ulf completely. Therefore I have tried in Workshop the mountains and clouds structure to clarify. I can show you my attempt tomorrow.

Hallo Sven,
schönes Foto und gutes Panorama mit den kleinen Dorf zur Rechten und der stillen Wasserfläche, die von dem Boot ergänzt wird.
Du solltest die möglichen 200KB ausnutzen, sonst verliert das Bild sehr viel Substanz.

Hi Sven, this is a beautiful photo. The mellow colours add a kind of peacefulness. I even like the soft focus, I think it adds to the environment and sharpening would make it a little harsh.
