Swiss Rhine valley, a photo from Graubunden, East

Photographer's Note

Outside it's raining snow or snowing rain - as you like it - so back to last summer!

This photo was taken in the upper valley of Hinterrhein, one of the two frontal flows of Rhine river in the Swiss Alps - a bit north of the village Zillis in an altitude of about 900 metres. Rhine here runs behind the meadow in foreground along this row of trees.
In about 800 kilometres Rhine will pass Loreley .. ;-)

Ich wahr par tage nicht so activ aber troztem din ich da und deine schone foto von Mittel und west Europa zu geniessen.Dieses herliches wetter kommt noch und hofentlich ich auch dort druben!!!!Ich wunsche dir alles schones in neu Jahr 2010 ,aber alles gratulieren nach den 31-te

So weit bin ich noch nicht mit meinem Schiff gekommen :~), wäre ja auch problematisch. Trotsdem, ein schönes Bild, und herlichen Dank dass du mir den Rhein gezeigt hat.

This is a nice landscape shot. Your composition is fine using the tree line in the foreground to create a diagonal through the shot. The lighting and colors are fine as is the photo's shaprness. The sky is great and provides a nice backdrop for the scene.

Yes, I agree with you, such summer pictures are really more enjoyable than the present darkness... A really splendid view here, very pleasant indeed!

A very pleasant landscape: wild flowers, a row of trees, green prairies, the mountains in the background and the blue sky. Perfect to forget about the rain outside.

Bonsoir Frank,

Un avant-plan bien occupé et la place laissée au ciel donnent beaucoup de profondeur. Un paysage qui sent bon l'oxygène et qui invite à la ballade, sous un joli jeu d'ombres et de lumière. Joli travail.

When it sleets, it is good to view this kind of photos from the warm summer. And this view is really wonderful photo too. A fine composition, very beautiful colours and good contrast. An inviting one!
