Photographer's Note

From large to small. Not only large buildings can have beautiful facades, also small houses may be nicely decorated.
This photo is an example from eastern Switzerland, a typical Graubuenden house with nicely decorated façade showing pictures of native animals, the Capricorn and Wild Goat as well as white mountains.

The Canton of Graubueden is the largest and easternmost canton of Switzerland, sharing local borders with the cantons of Ticino, Uri, Glarus and St. Gallen and international borders with Italy, Austria and Liechtenstein. Graubuenden is also home to three of Switzerland's ethnic groups and the subsequent languages of Swiss German, Italian and Romansh are all native to the state.
It is also the only canton in Switzerland where the Romansh language is still spoken.
