After the Blizzard Photo

Photographer’s Note

After a morning of heavy snow biting into our faces, the clouds lifted as if by magic and the sun beamed down on beautiful fresh snow. I was rather envious of these two snowboarders just visible here, who took off over down the steep slope and effortlessly glided through the fresh untouched snow.

Hello Susanna,
Glad you let the track in the image so my eye is following it all the way down to the valley. The lonesome snowborders give excellent scaling in this beautiful white world. The blizzard that is coming in gives a extra touch to it. I like your composition and lines. And despite it's all white, you really found a way to make depth with contrasting lines...very good.

This is an amazing scene. The clouds seem to mingle with the snow. It could even be an avalanche. The tiny boarders in the image are great additions for scale. Well done

Une image presque monochrome ici, j'aurai bien aimé y voir une ou deux touches de couleurs, mais on ne choisit pas toujours...
l'exposition est bien gérée, et la composition est pas mal, malgrès cette petite cabane un peu trop centrée dans l'image à mon gout

Always impressing the Swiss mountains Su, as here in a fine setting including the lift and downhill tracks. The low clouds and mist another good detail here.

Nice mix of blue and white, difficult exposure conditions, with no part overexposed, other than the usual breathtaking alpine scenery, the departing showers and the snowboarders add interest.

Jolie vue plongeante sur ce paysage de montagnes, bon blanc pour la neige et très bel effet de la brume dans un coin de cette image lumineuse par ailleurs, bel ensemble.
