Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken from a piper four seater, and boy what an afternoon this was. And I was thinking to myself how fortunate I was with what I was presented. First we were not sure if we would make it over to this side coming from the Zurich area. Plenty of clouds hanging around, so the sight was somehow not too good. But once we reached a certain altitude (approx. 10'000 feet)we got some of this rare views. Mountains nothing but mountains, not so easy to bring it over in a photo somehow because the feeling was above in a way.

This is the Davos side flying via Filisur. We met a glider breaking through the clouds otherwise we had the impression we were all alone up here, enjoying this spectacular flight. Not much talking just looking and enjoying.

Barbara this photo of yours is incredible. What an amazing capture of mountian beauty. You certainly were a ways up. I love mountian photos alot and this is spectacular!

Beautiful mountain landscape that only could be caught with your prespective. Stunning clouds and snow capped grey peaks that contrast so beautifully with the pale blue sky.

you most definitely are getting great POV's from up there... looking at your photos i'm getting that urge to take advantage of the local university's offer here to get a pilot's license in about 3 months time... i regret, i did not get it earlier, while the gas was still cheap ;)

anyway, back to your foto: fantastic light and textures. perfect exposure imnaaho for this reflecting surface.
