Photographer’s Note

View from Braunwald across the Linthal valley towards east. Heavy cloud on the mountain slope gave impression that it had fallen from the sky leaving a sunny spot behind.

Hi, Kari. Rainy day in the Alps. Well, at least, this is a good day to show how green the valley is. I like the different tones of green in your image and of course this cloud that lingers in the valley. There is a good contrast with the grey cloud on top and the fresh snow you can see beneath the clouds and all that green in the foreground. Light conditions were tricky and I wonder whether I would not have reduced brightness a little here to give more contrast.
