Having seen what is possible in a workshop of a photo, I now notice that this foreground is too dark. I love dark photos because I like dark, rich colors. However, to this extent loses the detail in the shadows. I don't want to lose the detail in the clouds either so I am trying to work with CS to find the perfect balance. In this case, I darkened a little, increased the overall contrast a smidge, and brought up the color.
Any thoughts on metering or post-processing that could help this? I believe I metered in the shadow for this image. |

Hi Tracey,
I really like your subject and composition. We normally associate a cemetry with dullness and to an extent some morbidness, but this image is so pretty and a wonderful place to be buried. Such beauty and calmness to the location.
I suppose there are some dark areas in the photo, but I do not believe that they distract from the success of the shot. Very well captured.
Cheers Grant
