Photographer’s Note
This is not right :))))))) what can I tell you about a picture showing actually not much? Rocks, blue sky, sunlight, a moon … A great experience for me to start my hike in the dark, walking through the early morning hour, see the first click of light on the horizon, freezing cold, feeling cold, the sun coming up, the sky still pale and slowly but slowly new structure on the rocks, it gets bluer with each minute, the sun comes up, warms me up, not only my bones but also my heart, this is hiking, you can sleep in later … but I had to find that out too!!!!
The long way up …
.. and another view
More info for those that are not tired to read it :))))))) and yes you can see me ... Tiny moon over Saentis

Hallo Barbara!

Hi, Barbara,
A very elegant shot taken from a very effective angle.
It looks like Rockwell Kent's works.
I like it

Hallo Barbara!

With that diagonal this shot is really good. All the elements are very well placed and create an excellent composition. I love it for the simplicity and the calmness of the view.

Hi Barbara,
Very efficient composition. Those rocks on sunshine make good combination with the moon. And that diagonal slope looks lake made with a ruler. Did you feel safe? It looks like that terrain might get very slippery when it starts to melt.

Hello Barbara,

Barabara,
Well I like it! It's an art form all unto itself, turning the camera away from obvious views and composing with the spaces in between traditional forms. Finding a precarious balance of blue and blue.

Hallo Barbara!
Hier passt es endlich einmal: Well seen!

What a nice graphic shot with the two shades of blue punctuated by the rocks.

Hi, Barbara.
Another one that has that vintage baba flies trademark written all over. Simple and extremely effective!
Lots of folks seem to either forget or ignore it, but simplicity is an art in itself...
Wonderful perspective and light management, way to go baba flies! Keep on flying!!!
Have a nice evening, I'll be seeing ya.
HUGS,
Fulvio.

Hi Barbara,
The lovely blue sky would warm my bones and qustify the early hour out of bed and on the trail.
It always feels so good to fill ones lungs with the brisk air that comes so suddenly this time of year.
Love the sharp line drawn between earth and sky and of course the fading orb that rules the night.
Regards, Tom

Hallo Barbara
I find this one less impressive than the previous one because there are less highlights and I miss your antenna, bit you have here a good ascending diagonal and upwards link between the 2 highlights zones. Does Inet still works or all lines were broken due to heavy snow ??? ;-)))

Halo Barbara,
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Hi Barbara
What a fantastic view point. I would never have thought having so much land in the shade would work so well. The sunlit cliffs either side give balance and the moon is just perfect.

Grusse Barbara,
What would Swiss people do if they can't go hiking any more? Such a tradition. I went hiking almost everyday when in Switzerland. I wanted to sleep in one morning but no, my friend's family come and get me out of bed and get me ready for anotherday of hiking. Never even go to Zulich except to the airport. I love there's Migro in the airport now you can buy good chocholate for less money and food for lunch. This shot is very pleasant, very simple but fill with nature's beauty and depict your story, the expectation of thing to come. The moon made this more interesting. A little higher and I can reach the moon. Okay, I have to go back now I'm cold looking at this image and colder looking at the workshop images.

Fine use of the graphic details in this one barbara. And also good use of the spare details. An effectful and interesting result in this compo.

So straight, so extrem, so unusual... The contrast (I may say opposition), the minimalism, the graphism, the management... Everything's strong and ok here.

Hello Barbara
This has your stamp all over...even looking at the thumbnails, I would have known it to be your picture. Minimal...so few elements, the tilt, the contrast. Can this be 'seen' better? I guess not. Excellent!
Best Regards
Angshu
