This post is kind of a private message but I guess everybody can enjoy the view, a stitch of 6 featuring the Fälenalp (1400m), high point of a full day hike in the Alpstein range.
The route is as follows, from Schwende take AB and Postauto to Brülisau, then follow the signs towards Sämtisersee or Plattenbödeli (1 hour), from there follow Bollenwees to the Fälensee and at its far end the Fälenalp (1 hour), walk back down and then up to Meglisalp (2 hours), and then down to the Seealpsee (45mn) and down to Wasserauen (1 hour) where you can ride AB back to Schwende. It is not very difficult from a grade point of view but the distance involved makes it challenging. Take plenty of memory cards, Flauder, Rivella and beer will be supplied by the numerous mountain restaurants. It is recommended to start early (6 AM) to avoid climbing in full heat, ideally you should have reached Meglisalp by noon.
Last but not least, regardless of heat keep your clothes on ;-)

Bonsoir Jean-Yves,

Yves.

Dear Jean Yves,
what a wonderful green carpet here. You made a nice work here. A so giant mountain touching the pretty blue sky.
Great!

Thanks for sharing this green and gray behemoth. It seems as if it is at a much higher altitude than 1400m, but that may be because of the presence of snow and the lack of trees. Sometimes, a lack of trees is an asset, making it easier to see the form of the mountain, as in this case.

I forget your now in summer, the deep blue sky works to show this range so well, the image looks very refreshing JY.

Hi Jean Yves,
What a beautiful scene. I love that big rocky mountain with so much detail. Great POV with good depth, great colours and wonderful contrasts. I like the buildings in the valley which give this photo scale. Great work!

Ah, j'allais oublier, quel ciel bleu -)

Hello Jean-Yves,
A good well framed composition of this rocky peak. I like the point of view with the row of buildings acting as a pointer towards the mountain. Good colours and sharpness and excellent stitch work.

Fine scenery, JY, well presented in this sweeping and well-stitched photo. Vivid colors and lots of delightful alpine details to absorb in this one. The scattered buildings are in addition useful to convey the grand scale of the mountain range. Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Jean Yves,
a wonderful one, so many great colors in here! Impressive location, but Switzerland is just too beautiful, you can basically stop wherever you want and stand in front of an impressive landscape! Great composition, flaweless stitch and a wonderful deep blue sky, lovely one! I like it a lot!
Take care

Salut Jean-Yves,

Ciao dear Jean-Yves,
Excellent idea, surely your photo is better than a map of mountain! I appreciate a lot the sharpness and the colors pleasantly saturated of this image. In this moment I would like to be exactly in that green lawn. Compliments!
Ciao, have a nice Sunday!

Salut Jean-Yves,

Tous mes compliments,
Amicalement,

Salut Monsieur
Thanks for reminding me that I need to get the boots out and head off the mountains! Looks like the snow has retreated and the season is here - though thankfully still cool enough for wearing clothes anyway ;o) A nice stitching of this typical landscape. Looks like you are enjoying your 5D mkII...

Bonjour, Jean-Yves -
There is a kind of a sweep to the lines here, especially in the left fg, which keeps the eye moving, but not in a distracting way, since it moves the eye to a point of interest - the low buildings. And their line carries the eye to the mountain. Whose slope then takes us back where we started. A nice circular trip!
And the colors are a great bonus.
Best,
Dan

Hello Jean-Yves,
A+

Hi Jean-Yves,
Landscape looks very inviting, and hardly fits even on six frame stitch. Which is perfectly assembled.
Thanks for suggestion. I need to check height differences before deciding on this or some lighter weight option. No problem, I don't want to upset Appenzeller people, and I don't like sweaty thighs rubbing against each other...

Hello Jean,
This is a very special scene with many interesting details in the landscape!
I notice the fine colour palette and pin sharp details, and the small houses probably had some agricultural use once...
A fine composition and proper post processing!
Greetings,
