Photographer’s Note

This is the image I intended to post last time but vertical image problems and the famous "thumbnail error" prevented me to do it, this shows the week end hikers about to reach the Seealpsee, just behind the "Berggasthaus", this building at the end of the trail.

The moon invited itself as a special guest in the upper left corner.

Salut La Terreur des Sommets
Intéressantes lignes parallèles sur le flan du massif.
J'apprécie la courbe du sentier qui mêne vers le chalet rouge.
La précence des humanoïde permet d'évaluer l'échelle de la montagne.

Very good pov and amazing compo with perfect pictorial geometry, nice layout and nice fresh colors. The 4/3 moon an left corner is the bonus of this fine entry.

Hi Jean Yves,

Glad to see that you are using the mkII for what it's made for....hugeeeeeeeeeee landscapes ;-)
Man what a great site this must be...walking that path, up to the red house and under that great mountain.
Snow is still there, you had fine weather and those little yellow butturcups all over the place which give such a nice spring feeling to all this. Fresh bright colours, nicely saturated.
Great shot, i love it, perfect framed, composed and presented.

Impressive photo! it's full beauty just hits you on the face. Everthing is so defined even the moon wants one last look. The rythmn of the diagonal lines is so visible, it is like an art drawing.

les quelques marcheurs nous donnent un échelle de grandeur du paysage , on peut dire qu'il est grandiose .

I like the dimension given bt the hikers, and the way the path lead to the cahlet. Nice colors, with a contrast between the green grass with yellow flowers and the snowy peak.

Typical Swiss bliss image, wow, lovely spring time weather, great clarity all the way to the moon. Great composition, with the path lead us in and zig zag up the mountain and perhaps the light cloud lead us all the way to the moon. Lucky man, I have been to Apenzelle but I don't remember this great landscape.

Sacré pavé que tu nous présentes ici !
Une composition aux petits oignons et des couleurs qui flashent bon le printemps. Je vois que toi aussi, tu es passé à l'artillerie lourde et forcément, ton image fourmille de petits détails traduisant une définition hallucinante.
Seul bémol, il faudrait me retoucher la couleur de ces fleurs des pentes herbeuses qui dérangent ma vue ;-)

Tu vois, tout s'arrange! Il faut avouer qu'elle a plus de gueule que celle que tu nous avais présentée, certainement un peu dépité par les problèmes techniques du site. Tout est parfait ici techniquement et esthétiquement, avec, en prime, le petit plus, "spécial JY" : ciel très bleu et petite touche de rouge!

A great capture of this mountain landscape in its spring colours. The point of view is well chosen taking advantage of the curving path as it wends its way towards the impressive peak. The hikers contribute much to the atmosphere as does the the beautiful ambient light.

Bonjour, Jean-Yves. Ce n'est plus un sentier là, c'est une autoroute ;o). Mais tu l'as bien utilisé pour porter le regard vers la Gasthaus et la face qui se trouve derrière elle. De belles couleurs de printemps et la lune en guest star.

Really a jaw dropping view. The shape of the mountain is really cool because of the diagonal lines with which it enriches the composition. The road makes a difference too: with tiny people helping to imagine the scale.

The composition is excellent. The road leads the eye to the base of the rock, people and the building offer a sense of scale. The vertical frame and the diagonal lines of the rock give a quite dynamic image.

Nice idea to include the moon in the frame.
