Photographer’s Note
"As if time had stood still" is the slogan of Appenzellerland Tourismus and it's true that in this wonderful small canton it's possible to come accross scenes long forgotten anywhere else.
Such as this one... barely one week or more than a century old ?
This in an Appenzellerbahnen Oldtimer from the former "Altstätten-Gais" line now booked for special trips and here on its way from Schwende to Wasserauen through the famous hilly farms landscape, photo taken in "Instinct sniper" mode.

Jean Yves

this old fashioned train seems to come directly from the past....and the sephia tones helps achieving this feeling!
I have still not been in Appenzell before...but it seems I'll be soon there as well!

Bonjour Jean Yves ,

Nice idea with the use of sepia. It looks a old photo. The old little train is very pretty too.
I like the background houses in the scene.

Bonjour Jean Yves
An excellent sepia work that becomes your thirteenth work following RVCKVVVSBFEY.
The new stage color of TE is perfect match for this sepia tone by the picture style "Instinct sniper".

Salut Jean-Yves,

Hi JY, this photo is very Kari-esque. I like it alot and you're right, the seppia tones make this photo timeless. Great control of shutter speed to bring us such a sharp image. Have a good weekend, Lisa.

Hi Jean Yves,
so... this is what all this place is supposed to have looked like exactly many-many-many years ago? :) a nice sepia look! and maybe a "traditional" B&W variant would also look as good? :)
Well... I like trains, can't help it ;)
Nice weekend to you!
best regards,
Elena

I have not seen the colour version but I believe the B&W was the best option for the vintage train. It is a perfect composition with plenty of space to show the landscape. Well done.

This oldie seem to be like new and thus this indeed could be from early 1900s. OIf course the road was paved later. Nice toning that matches with new TE colour scheme. Andthe landscape is as Swiss as it gets.
I wonder how often that's in use. From Rigi I have something even older coming up...

Grusse Jean Yves,
It truely is timeless. In many sense, Appenzelle probably have not change much in decade, The beautiful hillside with a little houses. Looking from the top, it looks like little toy houses, so perfect. I like the sepia tone treatment. Giving a great sense of vintage and Timeless.
