Photographer’s Note

A window in what used to be Alvastra monestary, founded by Cistercian monks from Clairvaux in France 1143. Alvastra was Sweden's largest monastery and flourished for nearly 400 years until the reformation. The limestone material of the buildings became used in the making of Vadstena Castle and other buildings. 1898 the ruins was restored and perserved for the first time. It's a beautiful place well worth a visit, full of excellent photo opportunities. good you commented on one of my pics, otherwise I would have missed this one. I like it a lot. The contrast of the wonderful blue sky to this beautiful wall is well captured. The skyline of the wall looks like a face viewed from the side.

i like the old ruines in general (... i live il Italy!) and this is well seen, well composed + with a rich note & the right title... Sharpness & contrast make the rest.
Can be well see that you like to 'look' before take a shot!
